Just so you know... ‘Chipping’ means a market and a long time ago traders came to Chipping Norton and sold and bought goods. Wednesday is still market day today although you won’t be able to buy a goat but you will be able to see and buy goods produced locally.
• Guests at The Cottage can enjoy long walk that starts from the front door past famous landmarks
• The town has many fantastic pubs with great restaurants and many traditional small shops that help to keep Chipping Norton special.
• Active guests can swim in the famous ‘Lido’ in the summer and those that fancy a walk round town will enjoy the local sights of St Mary The Virgin Church, the famous Almshouses built in 1646 and the Town Hall that sits so commandingly in the town’s Square
• Buy a book and take a coffee in the award-winning Chipping Norton bookshop and see a show at Chipping Norton Theatre in the evening.
